Teeth Whitening
Tooth whitening is a procedure using a dental bleaching solution that has been especially
selected to accommodate your unique oral chemistry and enamel. Depending
on the technique selected, whiter teeth can be yours in as little
as 40 minutes, or up to 14 days! Dr Wells will prescribe the method
best suited to your individual wants and needs.
 Some
teeth whitening procedures can be done in office, using laser system whitening,
which can give a brilliant result. Whiter teeth can be yours in
just 40 minutes! This may be supplemented with a home tooth whitening system to help you maintain that new smile at your convenience. Laser whitening is a terrific alternative for those individuals
who can't tolerate wearing trays over a period of days or who are
looking for a more instant result. We use several different laser
techniques and will choose the most appropriate method for your
personal needs. The shade of your enamel will be carefully documented
so that we can track the bleaching process.

and Zoom!® are two popular methods chosen by many of our patients.
It takes just one hour to walk out with a stunning white smile. The results of the treatment last two to three years
depending on lifestyle and with the right maintenance, including

Beautiful Smiles, we use several different home teeth whitening systems.
We carefully choose the system that best suits your needs. Some
systems on offer will give full results in 3 to 5 days. However,
if you suffer sensitivity we have other systems more suitable to
your needs. Whereas whitening may take a little longer, these methods
can give full results in 14 days or less.
If you choose
to use home teeth whitening, we will make custom trays to fit your teeth
perfectly ensuring comfort and ease during the process. The bleaching
takes place usually at night while you sleep, or a few hours each
day in the privacy of your home. Your transformation to a new smile
is complete in just a few days or weeks.
Many people
find teeth whitening to be easy and convenient because most of the treatment
can be done at home. Naturally, we will closely monitor the results
and work with you along the way for ideal results.
 There
are many factors which contribute to tooth discolouration. It may
be extrinsic (surface) staining caused by the elements of our lifestyle,
for example, drinking tea, coffee and wine, and smoking tobacco.
This staining can be reduced by using a whitening toothpaste.
The other
type of discolouration is intrinsic. It's a result of natural defects,
tooth trauma, or can possibly be caused by medicines. Intrinsic
discolouration can only be removed by using a professional tooth
whitening treatment, which is only available from your dental professional.
