About Dr John Wells
Dr Wells' Philosophy
Dr Wells is a principal dentist of Simply Beautiful Smiles. He has a focused interest in aesthetic, cosmetic and conservative dentistry, implant dentistry, complex smile makeovers and complex dental restorative procedures.
Dr Wells graduated from Sydney University in 1985. He has studied extensively with world leaders in dentistry, human communication technology, digital technologies and implants. He has written numerous articles for journals and dental practice magazines.
Dr Wells graduated from the prestigious Las Vegas Institute (LVI) in the United States in 2005, becoming only the 7th Australian dentist to do so. He is continuing his studies with LVI, which offers the very latest in cutting edge dental techniques for very complex dental restorative cases. It is this area of dentistry, creating "Extreme" Smile Makeovers, whilst utilising the complex skills of conservative dentistry that Dr Wells is most passionate about.
Dr Wells has appeared on Good Medicine, Today, Foxtel, This Day Tonight, and Radio 2GB to provide updates on dental technology and advancements in dental procedures. Dr Wells has also featured in magazines and newspaper articles such as Cleo, The Weekend Australian and numerous other local Penrith and Nepean Districts area newspapers. Dr Wells is a past President and Treasurer of the Nepean and District Dental Association and a Member of the Australian Dental Association. He is the founder and Chairman of the Tri-States Dental Mastermind Study Group, and a co-founder and Chairman of the Guardian Dental Professional Network. He has lectured nationally and internationally on subjects ranging from aesthetic dentistry and CAD CAM dental ceramics to practice management, dental implants and the business of dentistry.
Outside of his love of Dentistry, John enjoys spending time with his wife, two daughters and his sons-in-laws, and now grandchildren. John loves to travel, has an interest in a wide range of music, and takes great enjoyment training in weights and Crossfit, as well as Ceroc and ballroom dancing.
